If your oil burner fails to operate:

Be sure that the oil burner switch is on.

Thermostat should be set above the room temperature.

Make sure that there is oil in the tank.

Check for a blown or loose electric fuse or tripped breaker.

If you have a steam boiler please check the water level and add
if necessary.

Press the reset button ONCE ONLY. This is usually a red button on
or near the oil burner itself.
