On October 25 , 2009 Medway Oil Company was invited to participate in the "Friends of Choate Park Touch –A-Truck." The event allows the children to become exposed to many different vehicles that they see every day but may never get the chance to actually sit in or climb on. This event was promoted to raise funds for the upkeep and maintenance of Choate Park. One of our Senior Technicians Bob Anton brought his son Harry to the event and Harry was happy to be in a Medway Oil truck like his dad. We had great Fall weather and a great turn out.
On October 6th 2009 Medway Oil participated in an insurance industry sponsored safety seminar. The seminar was sponsored by our Insurance Agent, Corcoran & Havelin in Wellesley, Ma. Michael Cox our representative from Corcoran & Havelin was instrumental in the putting this all together. Mass State Trooper Paul Loud of the State Police Truck Team was on hand to do a mock roadside truck inspection for the attendees. It was very enlightening and Trooper Loud commented that "if all the trucks out on the road were like ours his job would be very easy!" Medway Oil is very proud of the fact that we keep our trucks and equipment as safe as possible. We are also involved with a call system that allows people to call an 800 number if they see erratic behavior of our vehicles. We also have all delivery and service vehicles tied into a GPS satellite so that we can monitor the activites of our vehicles. Safety is key at Medway Oil Company.
